Parachute jumping at controlled aerodromes

Parachute jumping at a controlled aerodrome may be conducted under following conditions:
  • only during the day in VMC;
  • if  the aerodrome has a parachutists' landing area promulgated in AIP-ICAO Aerodrome Chart;
  • If the aerodrome has a local procedure for parachute jumping promulgated in aeronautical publications;
  • If jumps are not intended for training purposes;
  • if there is no possibility of Alpha Scramble flight at that aerodrome. In addition, during any active interceptions (Alpha or Tango Scramble) in the airspace of the Republic of Croatia it is also not possible to perform parachute jumping at controlled aerodromes. Alpha Scramble is the flight of military aircraft interceptor performed to protect the sovereignty of Croatian airspace (in case of identification of unknown object, active air defense or assistance to aircraft in emergency or danger). Tango Scramble is the flight of military aircraft interceptor for the purpose of training for Alpha Scramble;
  • If the aerodrome operator and, if applicable, the local Air Force Base consent to parachute jumping.
Parachute jumping activities manager shall contact head of appropriate ATC Centre usually few days prior activities in order to familiarize himself with the operating procedures at the tactical level. Contact details are available here.

The completed request form, available only in croatian language, shall be submitted 15 working days before the scheduled date of parachute jumps.
Consent of the aerodrome operator and, if applicable, the local Air Force Base must also be sent beside the request form.
