EXODUS<\/strong><\/a> is a Digital Sky Demonstrator project under the CEF 2022 call, to be implemented by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

EXODUS will demonstrate the concept of the virtual center and showcase business continuity scenarios in different airspaces using a new operating model based on the geographical separation of ANS and ADSP services.<\/p>\n

The project involves the establishment of an innovation platform that reduces the risk of implementing new functionalities of the TopSky-ATC One system, where new ATM concepts will be developed and validated before the functionalities are added to TopSky-ATC One. The platform will also support the evaluation of new ATM components from other suppliers that can be integrated into COOPANS’ TopSky-ATC One system.<\/p>\n

Besides CCL, the EXODUS participating organizations are Austro Control, Naviair, AirNav Ireland, NAV Portugal, LFV, and Eurocontrol. CCL\u2019s share in the project amounts to EUR 11,400,000, with the EU co-financing rate of 50%.<\/p>\n

CCL also participates in two more research and development projects co-financed under the Horizon Europe program. These projects are:<\/p>\n

ISLAND<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0involves industrial research aimed at the timely and efficient creation and use of airspace capacity, combined with targeted and effective requirements and\/or measures.<\/p>\n

The project team includes Eurocontrol, 10 ANSPs, 3 research establishments, and 3 companies.<\/p>\n

CCL\u2019s share in the project amounts to EUR 42.750, with the EU co-financing rate of 70%.<\/p>\n

ATC-TBO<\/strong><\/a> is a trajectory-based air traffic control operations project.<\/p>\n

Once a flight is in its execution phase, the trajectory may need to be changed, e.g. due to adverse weather conditions, restricted\/hazardous areas, arrival procedures and the runway configuration at the destination airport. The project focuses on these flight performance challenges.<\/p>\n

Under the overall coordination of Eurocontrol, the project team includes 14 ANSPs, 1 airspace user, 5 research establishments, and 1 university.<\/p>\n

CCL\u2019s share in the project amounts to EUR 280.320, with the EU co-financing rate of 70%.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n
