AMC Portal and CroVIBE Presented in USA

October 4, 2018

In cooperation with the companies Klising and Omni Aspect, Croatia Control (CCL) participated for the first time at 63rd ATCA Annual Conference and Exposition which took place September 30 – October 3, 2018 in Washington, USA.

CCL presented its own two products – the AMC Portal and the CroVIBE system – at the biggest gathering in America in the air traffic control domain, with around 3,000 visitors coming from more than 40 countries.

The AMC Portal is for the time being a unique operational airspace management tool based on IT technologies, which has been in operational use in Croatia since June 2017, thus enabling direct communication between airspace users and the national airspace management system.

The integration of the UAS/RPAS airspace users into the national airspace management system via the AMC Portal is one of the most significant achievements, making the tool one of a kind in the world, which was evident from the competitors’ solutions exhibited in Washington.

The CroVIBE system is a web-based application developed in line with the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340 pertaining to ATCO licensing, the unique algorithm of which enables fast and safe monitoring of the licensing process. Some of the solutions presented have already been implemented in the CroVIBE system, i.e. the roster module or the operational personnel information system.

Great interest was shown in the products, including that of the high representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration and the United States Department of Defense, and it is worth mentioning that the continuation of that collaboration is expected, as well as the representatives’ visit to Croatia.

Among special guests visiting CCL’s booth were also H. E. Pjer Šimunović, Ambassador of Croatia to the USA, and Brigadier General Ivica Olujić, Defense Attaché of Croatia to the USA, who expressed their pleasure at the presented way of promoting Croatian products in the USA.
